Hello rangers,

around the world temperatures are unusually high, causing a red-hot summer for countries in the Northern hemisphere. But in Dino Storm, a cold winter is coming :D. We are working on a new map that proceeds from the snowy mountain top of “Coldclaw Valley”.

New Map - Maujak Mountains
The area is dominated by a large glacier that is slowly moving landwards down the mountain. At the foot of the glacier a lake is emerging from the molten ice. The mountain landscape is softened by the snow that is falling every other day, only a few snow-covered trees arise from the otherwise almost unicolored hilly ground. Some traces of the treks that used to pass the area are visible. Most inhabitants of this area are specialized for living in these harsh and cold conditions.

  • ~60 New quests
  • 2 New Weapons
  • 2 New Implants
  • 2 New Tech Modules
  • New Max level 55
  • New Craftable clothing set
  • New Skins

Those suggestions of Ghetto are good and some of them should be realised... It would be great if there would be added more different content without adding new lvls.
I have some questions:
1.Are there going to be 5 slots for implants and teches?
2.Is there going to be bigger drop of items, higher than x4?
3.Will be there added more places in player's inventory like instead of 20 25 or 30?
4.Amount of items for upgrading will be reduced?

all I want to say please increase Dino size in high lvl like 45 to up :cry:
or make low lvl dinos more smaller so high lvl look big :LOL:
since even lvl 20 dino n lvl 45 dino looks same in details its creepy :confused: or without changing dino size u can change their appearance :sneaky:

Could you add back the old upgrade system with less items ? Now will need more than alot of items to upgrade. Also, can you show the new skins ?

awesome news but this won't bring me back to the game, like Rega said change the upgrade system. its boring to farm over and over again for the same items. I don't want to imagine how many items u will need for lvl 55 :|

Not so happy about new max lvl, the amount of items needed to upgrade will get ridiculous.
I believe (based on what we have now: 552 items/dino lvl 41, 413 items/dino lvl 36, 352 items dino lvl 31 etc) we will need about 700-800 items to upgrade dinos/guns to lvl 46 and neerly a 1000 for lvl 51, that's absolutely crazy. Well if we are lucky maybe we will end up with 600/46 and 700-800/51 but still...

How about adding some new mobs to the game? Mammoths, wooly rhinos, wolves, troodons or any other dinosaurs/prehistoric animals that lived in cold areas to match the theme of the map. I'm sure everyone would love to see some variety. :mrgreen:

I really agree with most of Ghetto's suggestions, especially the ones about wars and gameplay mechanics. Trades could cause some problems, especially with bullying and encouraging use of multiple accounts, maybe there could be a special building for it where people would deposit their items and set what they are looking for in exchange (for example :dino dollars, gold coins, skins, clothing), and others could make offers accordingly- they would appear on the first players screen just like auctions do now and he/she will have an option to accept/refuse the offer ot whisper directly to the person offering. Just an idea :sneaky:

Anyways, can't wait to see all these new things coming to game, especially the guns, techs and inplants ;)

That's a really good thing. When you talk about cuztomisation stuff, it means stuff that can improve your power, like an full stuff from the same category (all clothes from outlaw as example) gives you more attributes?

Some suggestions

-higher drop rate or less items for upgrading

- upgrading from lv 1 to 45 takes a lot of time, but creatures or guns never change (20-45): u might wanna change their appearence, dimensions, even sounds , or add an high-end skill to all of them ( which would be a bit difficult to do) when they get to 55.

-the upgrade system gets boring and it's the reason why most people leave (new ones and olds either).

- 2 new weapons? nothing's better but please balance them, players must already deal with a 600 % bleeding buddy

- add tournament-like mode with different prizes only for lv 30 to 55 players? i think many would be much more motivated to power up their artillery.
Here the problem would be about techs and implants, so IA might choose a random set that both players have to use and in that way each duel would be even.

-Improve anything u can :D

Its too bright in cold claw valley to play with high quality, in new map it will be even worse :confused:

I'm happy to hear that big upgade is coming, but if possible please also rework some dinos (parasaurus & brachio), guns (hammer & peacemaker) implants (stability, agility, rage & claws), tech (focus, precision, & shock). Please rework/improve them to get Balanced with others.

Não vejo sentido para comunidade ''Brasileira'' seguir jogando, estou com vocês ah 6 anos quase, sempre estão lançando subir lvl, subir lvl, vocês acham que temos tempo para ficar subindo lvl e subir novamente, os mesmos itens? Gostamos mesmos, ''são eventos e coisas novas'' Não tem sentido acada 1 ano lançar lvl, para subir os mesmos itens... eu realmente deveria gastar mais 2 mil dolares no game? acho que não! Deveria haver mais eventos, ou redução de tempo para xerife, se esse é o objetivo de ganhar dinheiro... Porque não reduzir o tempo para eventos, ou eleição? Fica a dica, porque cada att -10000 jogadores no game. :geek: :idea:

Bem, eu não sei se vocês esperam aceitar criticas, ou sugestões. Eu não espero uma resposta, apenas alguma atenção de vocês sobre este assunto.
Eu jogo Dino Storm desde 2013, isso é muito tempo. Eu acompanhei as mudanças, eu vi o progresso do jogo. Brasileiros e Espanhóis, somos maioria nos servidores da América. Isso é incontestável, eu sei o que estou falando.

Dito isto, eu conheço a maioria dos jogadores, eu tenho contato direto com muitos ainda, e falo com veemência. "A maioria não achou uma boa ideia ter mais 10 níveis". Quando o mapa (Cold Claw Valley) foi lançado, foram apenas 5 níveis. Seria mais justo ter novos 5 níveis novamente!! Lançar novos níveis em menos de 2 anos, penso que é bobagem. Vocês tem um jogo lindo nas mãos, provavelmente os desenvolvedores estão felizes, mas para os jogadores não foi bom. Porque mesmo depois de quase 2 anos, quando houve (Cold Claw Valley) muitos ainda não são full 45. 5 níveis teria sido mais coerente, 10 níveis é exagero. Muitos irão parar de jogar e vocês irão perder muitos jogadores bons, onde muitos deles, geram dinheiro!

Sugestões- focar mais em eventos, vejo muitos outros jogos fazendo 1 evento por mês, com recompensas incríveis. Não precisa ter um dia especifico para comemorar (dia da arvore, da flor, da paz), não importa o motivo. Façam Flash Sales, itens, roupas ou "Peles Raras" (10) itens por servidor. Voltem com os "códigos" para moedas, roupas, itens. Dificilmente eu vejo algum novo, nem lembro do último. Voltem para o Facebook, façam mais promoções lá, não sejam repetitivos. Mais desconto para comprar moedas. Alguns países estão em crise, eu sei que a Europa não tem nada com estes problemas, mas Dino Storm tem uma grande Comunidade de fãs aqui nas Américas. Geramos renda, basta dar oportunidade. Com mais renda, terão mais investimento no jogo, mais crescimento.

Comecem a ouvir mais os seus jogadores. Não esqueçam, os jogadores é que fazem o sucesso do JOGO!

Finally some update, but why not add other ideas for updates that have already been suggested in Brazilian, English and Spanish topics?
Yes, new implants, technologies and weapon are good news, but you just want to put new levels. It would be nice to put other news

Well I agree with some of the opinions of the players above. But I want to emphasize some things:

1- Create new clan boosters for new implants.
2- When lv 55 arrives, it would be good to redistribute the price in dinos' coins, weapons, implants and technologies. Example: A dino 40 that costs 22k coins should lower the price to 15k because now the maximum lv will be 55, and it would be a lot more coins to be able to get anything lv 55. I think few people would make such a huge investment to get things 55. What would be the price of a dino 55?
3- Modify the Dice Casino, so that the rewards are up to lv55 and not only up to lv25, and increase the quality of the attributes.
4- Creation of new gels with different functions. Example: a gel that increases the price of items to sell, thus earning more Dino dollars.
5- Increase the drop and price of items. For in the new map will inevitably a large loss of DDs.

Well I guess that's it, I'm anxious to know how everything will be. :sneaky:

Can you increase the number of stones from a stack? at level 40 the max number is still 25, but it takes a lot of spaces
1 dino/gun at lvl 40 means 375 stones -> 15 stacks
1 dino/fun at lvl 50 might be 475 stacks -> 19 stacks

1. Its not planned to have 5 slots for tech and implants.

2. Yes the new weapons will feature unique Abilitys with their extra power skill. We will post updates here if they are ready to be presented.

3. The overall upgrading and pricing curve will be adjusted to match the new levels. So that it should feel good and not unfair as you call it.

Yes there will be new attributes along the the new tech. We will post info/screenshots here along the development process of the update.

We would love to. But sadly this is not easy to do. What we could do is redistribute the visual look between the levels better, but that would confuse players so that they dinosaur suddenly changes its look. So level 55 dino/weapons will visually look the same.

No there will be no new Dino, but the map will feature wild ankylosaurus as enemys. :)

1. all the new items will be unlocked on the new map "Maujak Mountains". But you can always purchase them early on with gold.

With it we meant a new clothing set that visually fits the cold and harsh Environment of the new map. The regular colors will be craftable in the triforge. It will not have a set bonus if you carry all of them at the same time.

Thanks for your detailed feedback. We are listening to the community and thats the point of the dev shack. We want to get feedback rolling so that we can improve the planned updates.

I suggest that dinos would change their visual look every 2 levels, so it would change till 50 lvl, not 25 like it is now and i think most players wouldnt be sad about it.

The devs mentioned already that its not an easy task to accomplish. Maybe we can hope for something like that in the future. Armour too.
