Huii there are a lot of questions comin in. Seems we did not describe it clearly enough how it should work.



You will not get token rewards automatically. A sheriff can directly apply to the town election tier if he wants to earn tokens. Depeding on his fame rank position in the town list he will get the a free seat in the office or none if not enough fame was put into the application. But a sheriff can also decide to apply for the street tier or discrict tier to increase his chances, but will not get as much tokens as in the town tier. (Risk vs Reward)



Currently the T-Rex token price is set to be around 20-50k. Its not fully final as the exact calculations are not finished yet. It will certainly remain difficult to unlock the rex but better to controll for the player as he continuesly can progress towards it.



1. Yes we hope to get it ready this year.
2. Its a hall of fame of the best players on the server. Apart from your hologram you will see in the town center when P1 there are not more benefits planned.
3. Not planned at the moment.
4. Not likely as might get quite complex when fully designed and certainly get testing heavy. But part 3 could get a public PTR for better testing it.



That is only an expetion for this years Fred Ex as long as part 2 is not yet released. Tokens wil only be aquirable from the townhall one part 2 is released.

1. Server activity, townhall applications and more. Still not final yet. But we try to have a system that is not easy to manipulate. But we might also settle for a manual system.
2. Once the application phase come towards the end and after no players are allowed to put in their application (half of the period) more and more information are given out for the players that are in the election.

Here are some examples that are rolled out step by step and shows the most desired ones at the last minute. Fixed values based on a fixed time date, no dynamic changes.
  • Total amount of players applied
  • Average fame invested by all players in the election
  • Delta of fame difference below and above ( in percentage)
  • Current office seat you would get at the current time

  • Getting re-elected will allow offices like "Marshal", "Deputy" & "Assistant Deputy" to be useful, when previously having most of them empty.
  • The three offices mentioned above will be giving higher number of "Silver Crowns" than that "Governor" provides, means they will be far more desirable, especially for Retired Marshals who didn't get to be sheriffs yet.
  • The reason the three officers mentioned above were empty is because "Governor" office had only one seat, serving as a choke point.
    • Will "Governor" office continue to be a choke point? or can we expect more slots for Governor office?
  • Sheriff will be giving the most amount of "Silver Crowns" needed for purchase a T-Rex.
    • How much percent (%) is the value of "Silver Crowns" earned by sheriff office only divided by "Silver Crowns needed for purchase a T-Rex?
    • Is winning every office at least once (Sheriff included) is enough to purchase a T-Rex?
  • Having more offices generating "Silvers Crowns" instead of having T-Rex being exclusive to "Sheriff" office will increase the average number of T-Rex purchases either slightly or significantly depends on how much Silver Crowns earned by Sheriff office alone.
    • How much percent (%) is the average value of "Silver Crowns" earned by every office repeatedly in a 14 days time divided by "Silver Crowns" needed for purchase a T-Rex?
  • We can't see how much Fame players have. We can't see who are are the players competing against us in one of the three sections. We can't even see the exact number of investments made by [Anonymous] players & rather clues and comparisons.
    • Can "Leader" or "Right Hand" (The people who are in-charge of distributing fame to their members) be able to see which Section their members have applied to, how much fame they invested, or their current rank compared to the anonymous players who have also applied?
  • If you get re-elected instead of winning the next Rank on the ladder, you are entitled to a fame bonus, but if you get re-elected in a section that doesn't include your next rank, you are not entitled to any bonuses, and if you don't win any offices at all, you regain all the fame you have invested without a loss more than the Dino dollars fee you have spent to apply.

In part 3 of the update, a public test is planned, right? So, what do you guys plan for this third part? Do the openings of some map shortcuts come into this?

I understood this right then, but what I was asking about is the bonus from election offices

The bonus is internaly applied on the election evaluation. For example a player that never was a director would have double fame bonus in the calculation vs a player that already was a director. That will allow new players in the town hall progress through the offices better once than veteran players.

The bonus is internaly applied on the election evaluation. For example a player that never was a director would have double fame bonus in the calculation vs a player that already was a director. That will allow new players in the town hall progress through the offices better once than veteran players.
so much algorithm...

I dont trust the algorithm , one mistake of algorithm was enough to damage the game , remember when the bug of duplication occured, the algorithm punished almost all players with negative golds

Will the worn out status also affect the attributes that the customization items give? or will they stay at the full attribute number and only the amount of fame will gonna be reduced each time?

@Highway Since the rex is one of the main reasons why the sheriff's party exists, with this new system it will no longer be the same, I suggest that the new sheriffs, once they have won their election, dinoville should celebrate. How? I mean, automatic fireworks in the town hall, a new celebratory music, banners of the winner on the buildings or houses... ETC.

What do you mean by "dynamic number of seats"? How do you define number of seats?

As far as I know, in the current system, there's no limit to the number of people that can apply in an office.

I think what he's trying to say is that Sheriff party will no longer be possible.

In the current system we already know who is going to be the winner, but in the upcoming system, we won't know that, maybe we might get an idea but what if that player increase his fame at last minute and passes his competition.

There is also the fact that old sheriff will have possibility of blocking players who's about to get sheriff for the first time, hence there won't be any system to differentiate new sheriff from veteran ones beforehand.


At the end of a Street/District/Town evaluation period, players will be ranked according to the fame points they spent in applications. Then, the game will assign them a position from the list of offices according to their ranking.
  • For example, the player who spent the most fame in Town elections will be granted the office of Sheriff.
    • Note: Since no office can be skipped on the way to the top, this player in our example would only become Sheriff if they had reached the office of Marshal before

The way it's written is confusing. It just makes me thinks that there will be one application window for all 3 tier.

This part too is blurry for me. (I'm sure I'm not the only one)

Applications are no longer made for a specific office, the only choice is between Street, District and Town (as available).
Perhaps share few prints of how the new Town Hall/ application process will look like.

What's the importance of those 3 points, what benefit it brings?


Clan Member Information Panel

In the clan page, whenever we points at a member of our clan, we will get info about a specific player.

Will any member regardless of their position in the clan, be able to see how much fame any member have obtained?

If this remains unchanged, then it could bring a new role to the game, which is "Spy"— sending a player as a spy in a rival clan to get information on which of their member has the most fame.

Maybe go back with the old system of fame? Does fame go straight to the player's inventory and if he doesn't want to, deposit it in the clan's deposit? So no one says how much fame you'll get

As far as I know, in the current system, there's no limit to the number of people that can apply in an office.
Perhaps number of seats increases or decreases regarding to election zone applications. (Except Director, Governor and Sheriff positions which would remain 1 seat only)


I think what he's trying to say is that Sheriff party will no longer be possible.
There will be a sheriff always as long as there is a sufficient application in Town elections. Sheriff player could be a surprise but there will be a winner for sure, I think that would make Sheriff parties even more fun since winner is not certain :p

This like anything have a positive & negative side.

They are basically a compromise to reduce the severity of the negative side.

If we consider what you said as the "Positives" then the "Negatives" in my opinion is that it would destroy trust between (Members & leaders), (Members & members in the same clan), (members & members of another clan). (Leaders & other leaders in different clans).

The immediate result to this is either full control by 1 clan that going to dominate the server to make sure the fame goes to the people they want to have and in the quantities they choose would apply the desired effect, and the only alternative to this is that we would end in a battle Royale for elections where everyone go make their own clan & steal medals/fame items from others to increase their personal chances.

Having an internal supervision will not fix the trust problem, but at least it would open grounds for communication and cooperation between people who don't want to fight each other or compete against one another, either in the same clan, or between different clans.

I don't see how that would prevent "Bullying" since unlike Auction house where the identity of the winner remain confidential, the Townhall will display the winner for all to see, and once that's revealed then the crack down on these players will begin. Unless your real intentions is to descend chaos between the majority of server players who have been co-operating for years so that they be too busy fighting each other and can do nothing about the players who are seizing that opportunity to score a gain when they previously couldn't. Then I would say it is pretty bias perspective because it favor the interests of a minority over the interests of the majority.

A compromise has to be made between "Attackers" & "Defenders" & this has nothing to deal with bullying, but rather a fair game play where people aren't forced to join one side and can have a chance to win elections either as attackers or defenders, which we hope to achieve by Update Part 3.

There will be some algorithm which will define that and dynamic i think would mean as @Ulutin said, that one time there could be 3 positions of marshal, next time maybe only 1, like maybe it would depend from player numbers who applied to specific tier elections and etc

The competition in the Town Hall should be clan against clan, not clan member against clan member.

or between different clans.
It is because of this trust between clans that we have a situation today where there are a majority kicking minorities from server and preventing them from even applying in high elections in Town Hall.

It started at the very top of the hierarchy of the clan when a few people (leaders) decided that they would steal the elections of a rival clan, they then proceed to ally themselves with other clans in order to prevent their rival clans from having anything in the server.

If you do not believe in the idea of "clans rallying together to decide who gets elections or not" then visit Asia_1, and ask the minority (the clan which has been attacking) when they last won a Sheriff.

In fact, we have these people on the forum itself and they read every day.

@Targaryen @vansh When was the last time your side won something in Asia?

We are in a game that is fight focus. I do not understand the point of not fighting yet winning anything. Seems like you (I believe there is a small minority who) want the luxury of not fighting while having it all, which is very much understandable because players of Eu1 are not known for their wars, they have grown complacent with peace that they would throw away any changes proposed to them.

It is no doubt that you are the loudest voicing this idea out, ever since the first time, it has been drafted.

It's been like 2 years now, there was like 8 clan grouped up together in an alliance+sharing from 3 other servers. 2 of those clan merged to different clan so its 6 clan+ other server now.

Let's talk about Part 3 then, although I don't have much info about it but let's just consider it for a moment to see how disadvantaged some group of players can be:
  • People can steal fame from gates that are not collected by draining it then supplying it. (Attackers benefit)
  • Maps will highlight buildings with heavy amount of stored fame. (Attackers benefits)
  • There will be Mobs that attack buildings, and whoever beats them get fame. (Neutral benefits)
We can crack down even more on defenders by adding things like:
  • More buildings per clan = more mobs swarming at that clan's buildings. (Defender disadvantage)
  • Once a building is attacked, fame can't be collected. (Defender disadvantage)
And we can add things like this to make things more fun and flexible:
  • Fast distribution system for fame items. (Benefits for both attackers & defenders)
  • More red feet = quicker draining pace / More green feet = quicker healing pace. (Benefits for both attackers & defenders)
  • No supply charge required to trigger a takedown, but supplies required to seize the gate and fame inside it. (Benefit for Attackers)
  • Extended life to all travel gates & claims while reduce the percent impacted by adding 1 supply charge to make supplying to full require more supply charges. (Defenders disadvantage / Neutral advantage)

All these changes and more to even consider can make the game play far more interesting and not just as a defender but also an attacker and neutral.

If players see that attackers have a chance in spite of the dominating alliance and their efforts to keep their monopoly on server control then some of them naturally will break off and join the attackers side, because the only reason for a very large portion of players and clans to co-operate and ally themselves with others is that they don't know any better and that's their only choice for providing elections and fame to their members.

Feel free to add your own ideas of how we can balance between being attacker and being defender. Further more I'm explicitly against the concept that the only way for the minority to strive is to descend chaos to the majority and destroy the option of being a defender, forcing everyone to attack and steal from others whenever they have the chance. Everyone should be free to choose their own playstyle, whom they rather fight and whom they rather co-operate with and help.

The immediate result to this is either full control by 1 clan that going to dominate the server to make sure the fame goes to the people they want to have and in the quantities they choose would apply the desired effect
A clan simply can't dominate everything unless the server is very inactive. The new mechanic for bandits attacking maps is designed to prevent a single clan from hoarding more than it should.


and the only alternative to this is that we would end in a battle Royale for elections where everyone go make their own clan & steal medals/fame items from others to increase their personal chances.
Competition should be the best option, clans and their members who wish to win elections should be active, arrangements should not be made for a less active clan to get what a more active clan has. Also in a clan battle royale it would generate a purpose for which to level up and improve


Having an internal supervision will not fix the trust problem, but at least it would open grounds for communication and cooperation between people who don't want to fight each other or compete against one another, either in the same clan, or between different clans.

if you don't want to compete then you shouldn't get a reward, it's simple meritocracy.

All these changes and more to even consider can make the game play far more interesting and not just as a defender but also an attacker and neutral.
I agree with all those changes, currently the attackers have a lot of disadvantage for the simple fact that the players prefer to be on the winning team, they prefer the comfort of large groups of players who dominate.

On my server, those who manage the dominant alliance, even before learning about part 2 of the update, already ruled that we will continue to be united to continue dominating. Here is the problem that needs to be addressed.

Correct me if I'm wrong,

But in the past, about 6 years ago, weren't we able to apply in the town hall without the need of a clan? Wasn't it similar to "battle royal" where everyone would be against everyone?

In this context, it would be similar, everyone leaving creating their own clan for their own elections.

6 years ago was considered the golden age of Dinostorm, people still would talk about it to this very day saying the game was better back then due to more wars.

No sense writing about Part 3 when we have limited information.

It will create a spam on this thread while we know nothing is confirmed and there are things which we have yet to confirm.

Amongst the info I've heard from GMs, here's an interesting one, not sure if it's correct, but nonetheless, would still need more info to start any argument about that.

I don't intend to talk about Part 3, it is just to show you that there is still a lot of work to be done, and the fate of these groups you considered "Bullied" or "driven out of servers" doesn't necessarily have to be determined by what happens in Part 2
