I think I remember playing this game close to after it came out because the game was advertised on german tv (crazy to think they had the money for that back then). my parents were reluctant at first because of guns and dinos rawr so dangerous. since then made like 4 attempts over the years on different accounts because I wanted to start fresh each time. I remember there being a new player almost around every corner no matter where I went. Had like 30 friends within a few weeks of playing and even made an own clan that got like 15 people. I also had another account on eu-4(or eu-3 idk what the current lowest one is) but i wanted to do that because i wanted to solo grind. Within one hour of playing i wouldve probably seen more players than i would see now within a month of playing. i dont even know how much more dead this game can get than it already is before it just gets shut down.
Even more insane is this fact: dino storm was greenlit on steam as one of the very first games to get onto steam through the steam greenlight function. This was MASSIVE. that was over a decade ago. Why did it never get on steam? why is it still not on steam? why are there still players against putting it on steam?
It would be so easy for them to simply put this thing on steam and get all their severs destroyed due to the influx of new players. do they not want to grow? do they not want to make this game bigger? I seriously dont understand. The amount of profit they could make would be so, so much bigger than the effort to get their servers up to standards. its mind-breaking to me.
I dont think ill ever get an explanation anyway.
If the devs ever have any interest in growing this game and put it on steam, wake me up. Until then, I might touch this game every three years or so until it gets deleted from the internet.
