Old combat system?

Hello, I'm back to the game after a good time, maybe 2 or 3 years. So i'm searching and i can't find any thread about the change to the combat system. I mean, three years ago both guns and dinosaurs attacked at same time, and now it works with the distance or something. I think the old system was very cool, what happened?
I doubt someone don't miss the old days...

Thanks. It only confirm what i think and i've see: The dinos are ultra slow and now the only way to hunt properly is with a close ranged weapon, cuz you can do damage with their habilities...
One good solution would be to increase the speed of the dino when the ranger is just walking or hunting and slowing when is on PvP.
About the PvE... maybe increasing the damage, for me takes too long to kill enemies considering that my equipment has a good level. (Lvl 30 against 30->32 enemies) And the stun of some enemies are too long: The battle ends and you're like a rock.

The dinos are ultra slow and now the only way to hunt properly is with a close ranged weapon, cuz you can do damage with their habilities...

if you want to be very fast and fight in far range, use coel or pachy, they are the fastest dinos

maybe increasing the damage, for me takes too long to kill enemies

what are you using? as for me with basics hunting isnt ultra fast, but fast enough

And the stun of some enemies are too long: The battle ends and you're like a rock.

use stability to eliminate stuns and confusions

ye i started playing the game like 6 years ago and it for a good 3 to 4 years ngl same idk what would the new combat system add to the game :/ lets hope they gonna get the old one back
