Hello!

I've started playing this game roughly a decade ago and I stopped playing it in a few years, I used to log in once in a while but recently I've started playing again in my free time only to notice the game hasn't improved as much as I expected it to. Usually the lower-level players are like me (who played long ago and came back) or someone from another server creating a new character in another server.

In my understanding the game has undergone balance changes (usually happens in most games), gained cyber/supreme variants, got a few new guns + ankylosaurus, gained 2 new maps (CCV + MM), a new system for capturing gates + claims and the new way to get the T - Rex.

What could've been done is updating the website for Splitscreen games official site along with its games sites + marketing the game, improve the graphics of the game (Don't get me wrong the graphics were excellent for 8 - 10 years back but now it's not enough for newer players considering a dinosaur game), include newer things to do like maybe quests which give higher experience + items which is not exclusively for events, include newer dinosaurs, balance out farming and grinding to reach higher levels because it takes a huge investment to reach there, maybe add new abilities with dinosaurs because it feels very repetitive to play around with just 2 exclusive abilities to a dino and ensure they unlock at different levels (maybe at level 10, next at level 25 so on..).

I've always loved this game, and I came back only due to that, but it's hard to see my childhood favorite game just fade away with time. If you don't want the existing player base to move away, please do something. Honestly you need money to run this and that can only come by new players in the system. I still remember being early in this game and so many people existed at every level. Players used to do quests together it was tons of fun, but now the game feels lonely and makes me feel like not putting in much effort anymore.

I hope I am heard, and this is taken as a constructive criticism by the Splitscreen Staff + GM + Devs, and this is my first post ironically and I don't want it to be my last here.

Incoming response:

Thanks for the feedback. / Noted, I will pass it on to the team ☺

Just so you know, countless people like me have posted several heavily constructed improvements/ideas or whatever you wanna call it but unless it's something that can be done with Ctrl+c Ctrl+v then it's not gonna see the light of the day. I'm not trying to discourage you from engaging here rather than warning you beforehand that there is simply no engagement except from player to player. It reached a point where they even lock the main update posts because people speak the truth but the truth hurts and what could possible veterans playing for 13 years would know what's good or not for the game right?

I'm a programmer myself, and If my understanding is not wrong Dino Storms Codebase must be in Java. And honestly there are game programmers who know Java out there. Take in some Interns and some experienced developers (maybe on contract) and make it work so it becomes the next big thing.

Honestly with just a few Devs (less than 10) the people behind Splitscreen Studios are actually doing good (with 3 products to boot it off). It's hard to do game programming [because multithreading, concurrency, network programming, vectors, maths etc.] but there are also people who do this because they love it.

You need more manpower to do more, it's the classic situation with why this game is slow on updates. I'm surprised how they managed with the same number of Devs when this game was in it's peak.
