Now that level progression is faster, it makes sense to publish DS on Steam.
With these new changes, fewer players will get frustrated and abandon the game, which will lead to greater player retention and, consequently, more active players.
So yes, it's worth considering publishing the game on Steam or promoting it somewhere else to give the game a breath of fresh air.
