1. I think it would be good to add filters and sort options to view clan members in the clan menu. Sort options like 'activity points' ( Ascending/Descending ), Alphabetical order ( Ascending/Descending ), Clan fund donation ( Asc/Desc ), Designation/role. Designation/role can work as a filter too, like to just show officers of the clan when officer filter is selected.

2. Adding the feature to have profile pictures in-game, possibly by giving players the option to switch between their ranger avatar ( like below ) and their profile picture ( custom PFPs ) by adding a button near the avatar.

3. Feature to have custom nameplates ( like in discord, steam and many other places). I see a lot of potential in this feature, it could benefit both the ends, Devs and players. You could allow players to use their own pictures as nameplate while also design and sell nameplates for gc, give as reward during events, for achievements, etc. One example would be to put up country flags as nameplates, during DinoBall event. ( reference below )

you know dev will need a certification app to check every pictures if isnt against the rules of the game? like if a player take a s*x pic or anything which can disturb people XD, devs will never, NEVER add this just because an artist in the game did you a beautiful draw of your dino and your favorite skin XDDDDD

Tbh, idk what's the point of your yap but I could understand that you don't appreciate some digital artwork I received. I believe there would be several ways this feature could be implemented safely and there's always room for thoughts and improvements.

Ps: Not everyone is always thinkin abt sex like u, the way u always talk abt some shi in-game.

He must be a developer in duisguise not wanting tô work
Besides that, It would bê actualy hard to get rid of the "troll images" so they could Just make contests and tournaments where players submit their arts and the Winners gain Gold coins and their arts added tô the game for everyone tô use, This would make a Lot easier tô get only the good art added, Also making default ones for the game, i mean they can hire atleast 1 person tô drawn for them

Or instead they can move flags to right side next to name and put sheriff rank above sheriff stars

— This is more good in my opinion

Dino Storm cannot support highly customizable decorative nameplates (like Discord's profile themes and animated banners) due to limitations in its 3D game engine, UI rendering, and development resource constraints.

While players have formally requested custom nameplates on the Dino Storm Forums, the structural differences between a WebGL/Java-built 3D game and a modern communication platform make implementing it highly impractical.

Why Discord-Style Nameplates Do Not Work in Dino Storm
  • Engine and UI Constraints: Discord is built entirely on web frameworks (like Electron) designed to render static and animated 2D graphics seamlessly across user interfaces. Dino Storm uses an aging 3D game engine designed to render massive multiplayer fields. Overlaying customizable, stylized 2D graphic assets above moving 3D characters in real time creates intense rendering lag.
  • Screen Clutter and Visual Clarity: In a fast-paced PvP and PvE environment involving massive dinosaurs and gun battles, visual clarity is crucial. If every player equipped bulky, flashing, or highly stylized nameplates over their character's head, it would completely obscure the gameplay, health bars, level banners, and target indicators.
  • Fixed In-Game Information Systems: Dino Storm's name tags are hard-coded to deliver functional gameplay data. They dynamically change to display your Ranger's name, your Clan name, your Level Banner, and temporary status symbols like the Duelist or Outlaw skull signs. Injecting custom art assets breaks this specific UI logic.
  • Development Priorities: Implementing a robust cosmetics store for nameplates requires rewriting how the game server communicates with the client's player profiles. Given that Splitscreen Games operates Dino Storm with a very small maintenance crew, they prioritize basic server stability and rotating automated seasonal events over major cosmetic UI overhauls.

tysm, for this explain :love: this is perfect for people who doesn't know that DS is a old game with an old engine. and cannot support this kind of (f*olish) request.

AS if u understood anything that he explained 😭
I mean all you know is to be lifeless in this game and give lifeless grind suggestions in the Forum. So for once, try to be useful and don't cry. ( Meaning - Go back to begging for elections in-game as usual, that suits you more. 👍 )

I agree with your general idea regarding the old UI and Engine constraints even though I hadn't asked for "complex, animated UI overhauls" I'm not talking about paid discord banners with vfx-like profile modifications. The game has been running on little to no UI changes all this while and could use some make-over to not only update its looks but to atleast facilitate functional changes that allows players to enjoy the game more. I'm not sure if the lag situation would be as bad as u made it seem just because of customized avatars but like another forum user mentioned, there could be select number of avatars/banners, released/allowed by devs just like how new dinosaur skins are added.

Agree. Unfortunately, even if lots of doable new features were proposed to be added, dino storm seems a game who's devs consider of not improving it. Probably costs too high and the dev team too small.
