Ignore Option

Hello! I have a question question. When I decide to ''ignore'' in-game one player. does he see what I type on the chat?

I hate to bump a topic that's almost a decade old but I have the same question and this hasn't been answered

The chat ignore function only hides the posts from chat of the person you have ignored. Everyone still sees what you write

Also I remember there used to be a chat-command feature to ignore & un-ignore a player, if it still exists, what are those commands ?

# ignore or unignore user
/ignore username
/unignore username

# whisper to user
/w username

# reply to last whisper (username gets automatically filled in)
