how does the dropped dino dollars and cost of teleporting work?

i was under the impression the amount you drop when dead and the amount spent when teleporting between gates is a % based on your current amount of dd, but after having dropped down from 2 mil to 20k the prices didn't change at all. i paid as much, if not more, than i paid when i had over a million dd.

so how does it work? is it just some % that increases indefinitely the more i spend? is it tied to my level?
