Gold differences on server?

I don't know how long this has been a thing but I'm curious if anyone knows why if I , for example, buy 2k gold in my main server and then log into either am2, asia or whatever the amount of gold I have is different even if it wasn't spent?

Purchased gold that is not already spent on something is the same across all servers where you have a ranger.

The gold collected by npcs and achievements that is completly fixed only on that on server where it was gained.
