Dragon scales (red & black)

Why does the black color on this skin make the scales so invisible? Is it supposed to look like this? This skin is not what I imagined, it has potential but it was ruined by the wrong shade
Would it be possible to change the shade a bit and give those black scales a more brighter/metallic/inky look?

I think it was intentional to look like this. yknow, just change colour and get it over with but it does look pretty bad

the only reason it looks like that cause edges of scales are black as well and they made that part black instead of doing it opposite way(more red less black) this way it looks way more like half black body and only red part make it obvious that isnt a body skin in ultra graphics.

Scales in dragon scales skin are their main feature and should always be visible, that's why I care about it.
It would be enough if the top of this skin stopped resembling black body skin and it would be fine.
