I'm here again for the same problems. The game is practically dead; except for EU1 Asia and a few American servers, all other servers are dead. Everything is so quiet. When you visit your old server, you realize and feel that it's no longer the same server. Something needs to change; players need hope. The buff system needs to be completely removed, the number of buildings needs to be increased back to what it used to be, players need to get back to the old Dino Storm, and most importantly, GMs and administrators need to show some dedication.
@GMs

Atenciosamente Hoarah.

Instead of criticism, I would like to see ideas for improvement; not just demands to remove this or that, or criticism of the devs and GMs. They have ambition and have worked miracles to keep this game alive for so long without generating so much return.
My passion for Dino Storm remains intact since the game launched, even with everything that has happened to the game. I believe that if we want to change something and make Dino Storm better than it already is, a change in ourselves is also necessary, in the way we communicate and express our complaints. Best regards Hoarah.
I truly believe this game has huge potential, and I won’t get tired of saying it. I really wish the developers would listen to the community. Just because a small group of players agrees with the current state of the game (mostly because they are already at max level) doesn’t mean the game should stay this way. Many of us have jobs, studies, and real lives, and the limited time we have to play is simply not enough to progress at the current pace.
One of the most motivating aspects of the game used to be the visual progression. Reaching level 15 and 20 and seeing your dinosaur change its appearance felt rewarding. Now that this has been removed or altered, a huge part of the motivation is gone. The fact that some players can afford to spend countless hours farming or investing large amounts of money does not make this change fair or healthy for the rest of the player base.
I already mentioned this in a previous post, but I’ll say it again here: I’ve spent money on this game and I feel scammed. My dinosaurs were changed visually, and I lost progress that took me a lot of time and effort to achieve. Being told that I now have to reach max level just to see a meaningful evolution feels extremely discouraging. It completely kills the desire to keep playing. I used to log in with excitement; now, if I still play, it’s only because I genuinely LOVE the game’s aesthetic, and I don’t think any other game has managed to recreate it the same way.
Beyond that, there are several other issues that hurt the game.
I’ll list some possible solutions below for those who ask for solutions instead of complaints.
Progression feels too slow and grind-heavy, especially for casual players.
Adjust XP scaling, add catch-up mechanics for lower levels, or introduce weekly bonuses/events that help players progress without needing to grind endlessly.
The gap between new/casual players and max-level players is too big.
Add level brackets, scaling content, or alternative progression paths that allow players to feel useful and rewarded even if they are not at the top.
Too much emphasis on monetization over gameplay satisfaction.
Keep monetization cosmetic-focused and avoid tying core progression or power to spending. Players are more willing to support a game financially when they feel respected, not pressured.
Lack of meaningful rewards along the way.
Reintroduce intermediate visual evolutions, cosmetic unlocks, or small but noticeable upgrades at key levels so progression always feels rewarding.
If major visual changes were inevitable, they could have been handled much better—for example, by keeping the old evolutions and adding an extra evolution at max level, instead of replacing them with what honestly feels like an aberration. Right now, it feels like player feedback—especially from those who are not at max level—is being ignored.
I don’t write this because I hate the game, quite the opposite. I’m frustrated because I care, because I see how good this game could be if these issues were acknowledged and addressed.
want to get any answear from GMs, players are ready for news about old updates, i know many of player dont want change, We can work together to create a new update that satisfies players on both sides by finding a middle ground, and I believe everyone will support it.
@GMs
I completely agree with the frustration expressed here, and I’d like to add my own proposal to this discussion.
The biggest problem with the current progression system is that it removed one of the most motivating elements of the game: visual evolution. Levels 20–49 now feel empty, repetitive, and unrewarding. For many players, especially new and casual ones, this kills the desire to keep grinding.
I’ve been playing Dino Storm since I was little, and because of that I feel a strong connection to this game. I’m not writing this to rant the developers, and I’m not saying that everything should be changed according to my opinion. I’m simply sharing how I, and many other players, feel.
In my view, some of the recent changes especially the evolution system were not optimal and had a negative impact on motivation. If there are already many players complaining about this, then the feedback should be taken seriously.
Why not bring the old evolution system back, or at least rework it with small, smart adjustments? For example:
first evolution at level 10
second evolution at level 20 - 30
final evolution at level 40
Let’s be honest: very few players ever reach level 50–55. Many give up long before that, especially when they see how slow and boring the progression feels. When players realize how much grind is required just to see a visual change, the hype dies. And when the hype dies, people stop investing time and money into the game.
Maybe for the developers this looks like a small change, but for the players it has a huge impact. Visual progression was one of the main reasons people were excited to level up. Removing or delaying it so much kills that excitement.
Guys, it's been more than 12 years since the game developers has invested in online promotion. No one will find this game nor Splitscreen's games if they don't invest in online adds like other games in the same genre.
They're getting enough amount of money from the current players so they don't mind about changes, new players, mechanics or new content at all. Players gave that comfy zone to them. And i'ts not gonna change... the last option is the game getting a new programming team/company or nothing else will change.
It's been years since players has asked for big changes and NOTHING happens.
Well, about 14 years ago Dino Storm was released, and for those who followed it from the beginning, you know that the game has changed a lot.
I could make a list of more than a hundred changes that marked the game and us, the loyal rangers, and even then I feel that I wouldn't convince anyone of how good this game is (at least for me).
I know the dissatisfaction is great, but there is still hope.
The game has an incredible theme and works even on a potato.
I think it can improve in many aspects, there's always room for improvement, but I believe the game has achieved its purpose. What's left for us is to relive the nostalgia of playing it, for those who still like to do that. That's my view.
