I want to give feedback about the bandit hunt after the latest update. This update made bandits much harder to farm—not only for level 55 players, but also for players in CCV who need to hunt them.

With the basic booster, it’s almost impossible for me to clear a bandit camp when all of them gang up on me. Even though I’m using an Anky with a vitality set, I just can’t survive the entire swarm of bandits. I’ve seen that even players with Vios sometimes struggle to clear whole camps.

I can’t imagine how hard this must be for new players in CCV. Could you please consider adjusting this or just bring back old ai of bandits so that hunting is possible again for everyone ?
Would it be possible to negotiate a middle ground? Where the difficulty of the bandits is between level 45 and 55? I also felt that the evasion of the gold-obsessed bandits is absurd; a breath attack with Rex's extra power and they evade, chasing them is pointless, and when they return they kill you even with the dodge effect.

Seria possível negociar um meio-termo? Onde a dificuldade dos bandidos ficasse entre os níveis 45 e 55? Também achei absurda a capacidade de evasão dos bandidos obcecados por ouro; um ataque de sopro com o poder extra do Rex e eles se esquivam, persegui-los é inútil, e quando retornam, matam você mesmo com o efeito de esquiva.

concordo ta um cãos matar bandidos, parece que tão de viola, tem que olhar isso tbm,

Why are you hunting bandits? You can also go for non bandit mobs to get your stufff?
and yea my items cannot get for non bandit mobs lol, its fabric filter lv 45, its either para bandit or rex. go check it out. u just broke ur game.

With only the basic booster, it feels almost impossible to clear a bandit camp, especially when all the bandits attack at once. Even though I’m using an Anky with a vitality set, I still can’t survive the full swarm of bandits. I’ve also noticed that even players using Violent sets sometimes struggle to clear entire camps.

I can’t imagine how difficult this must be for new players in CCV. I hope you could consider adjusting the current difficulty or bringing back the old bandit AI, so that bandit hunting becomes more accessible and enjoyable for everyone again.

Because you designed the game in such a way that each mob has a fixed loot table that it can drop. If you need lvl 50 antistatic flasks, you will have to farm parasaur bandits - there is no non-bandit type mob that can drop this item.
I guess the bandits where pretty easy to cheese compared to the other dinos?
Yes, but they also had to be cheesed in a way. All other mobs you take on 1v1, bandits are trickier and they move around, so you can't easily attack them at an optimal distance. Bandits are way deadlier than regular mobs - they often claim many deaths, and after these buffs they are much scarier. For it to be fair to the players, an average bandit would have to be weaker than an average mob (as they attack in packs), meanwhile an average bandit is much stronger than a mob.

Just reconsider that new dmg of bandits cuz literally no one can kill them nor hide and attack behind the walls even if u are a full tank with full clan boosters , vios and vita set u would still die cuz they either attack in group or attack with one skill which is more than enough to kill u

With only the basic booster, it’s almost impossible to clear a bandit mobs when all bandits aggro at once. Even using an Anky with a vitality set, I still can’t survive the full swarm. I’ve also seen players with Violent sets struggle to clear entire mobs.


This change doesn’t only affect endgame players, but also new and mid players who rely on bandits for progression. Compared to before, the current bandit AI feels overtuned for farming purposes.


I understand that bandits were easy to “cheese” before, but the current difficulty seems too extreme and hurts accessibility.


Suggestions:


  • Slightly reduce bandit aggro range or swarm behavior
  • Or revert to the old bandit AI
  • Or scale bandit difficulty based on player level / CCV

They did admit they gave regular mobs the cyber dino's buff. Why they didn't fix it last night thats the real question.
There was fix today.

I would appreciate a statement from a GM or Dev to tell us what has actually changed
I'm neither of them, but mainly gun damage was increased, dino damage decreased and bandits can help even when hiding behind objects or hills. Its written in initial update changelogs.

So the solution is to make them strong enough that you need to kill one at a time before having to heal (and even then die to the Leader if you're using Rex or Carno)?

Or are we supposed to make groups to hunt uncommon items now, too?

Not to mention the whole idea of giving players the chance to farm their own fame for elections (one of the main points of the previous big update). The bandits were already stupidly strong, I can only imagine how they are now.

lets not forget you die and they immediately evade now so you cant even rely on burn/bleed to end them after you died....

What kind of questions are that? Bandits after being killed drop necessary items needed to upgrade things.

They are faster to kill since they have less health points, but could also give more trouble than usual mobs. I always aimed to kill rookies and usual bandits first and go for vet last, because I would usually die if went for vet first when there were other bandits around. The only cases when I went for vet first were when I was hiding behind object or hill or when having full extra power and knowing that I would kill vet safely with skills and then run away from other bandits. I always had to think how to attack bandits, it never was like I came and just with closed eyes killed whole group. What I usually used are 55 lvl things: rex, vitality, armor, strength, 4th implant based on what bandits I killed, hammer/showstopper, damage, dino defense, precision, clock/dino reflection and full 55 lvl 5q+ strength clothes set using violent boosters.

Either bandits rebalance or the ability to help even hiding behind hills or objects should be removed.
