DS+ becomes active when enough gc is bought automatically if my memory serves me now i am not sure does DS accept virtual debit cards only that as long as there is enough funds transaction should be written as complete if it says error it wont let you purchase GC that way btw.

as long as the required amount is charged im assuming the method you buy them wont matter
