Hi Rangers, as many already know... ranged combat predominates in the game, this can be avoided by simply balancing or increasing the speed of some dinosaurs and adding a new attribute to the weapons:

If you remember, in the old system our weapon could shoot enemies in melee, this no longer happens, I guess they removed it to balance the damage and the clock of the weapons. Personally it was an unnecessary idea, besides the fact that it looks weird that your ranger doesn't shoot up close, it also generates imbalance in melee combat, because there are weapons that should benefit in that type of combat but don't, forcing players to prefer ranged combat.

My idea is the following... New attribute
: Closed Clock.

As its name indicates, it is similar to clock but this one performs exclusively in close combat, therefore, weapons that perform in close combat will have more closes clock points, and weapons that perform at distance will have less closed clock points.

Showstopper, Burning or Hammer would benefit from this attribute and would have more prominence in close combat.

I think you can increase the minimum range on the ability of those said close combat weapons so that they don't overlap with that of strong close combat dino like rex or cano.

How would it work, since weapons stop shooting in the close combat range. Rex is very fast and his roar can hit you from quite a big distance away, how would you maintain the distance for your gun to keep shooting at closed combat distance.

I think is very ridiculous that the guy don't shoot having the enemy at melee. The old combat system was very good. I think now we're doing less damage than before. The only nice point i see now is that the combat against bandits seems a bit realistic.
