Hello, I was thinking that instead of introducing new maps with additional levels (because absolutely no one wants more levels), we should focus on creating new maps with a sandbox approach or slightly different gameplay, while keeping the current levels (50-55 or exclusively 55).

My idea: The Outlands.

Synopsis:
The Outlands are inhospitable regions at the far edges of Dino Storm's known lands. These areas are filled with legends, mysteries, and entirely new dangers, making them the perfect place for the bravest adventurers seeking greater challenges and untold riches.

In the game: The Outlands could be small, medium, or large maps unlocked after Maujack Mountains. Since the game follows a "biome progression," the biome that would fit naturally after a snowy mountain would be a montane forest.

Unlike common maps, the Outlands maps include features such as:

  • Larger, more natural areas without linear paths, encouraging exploration.
  • Only one Travel Gate, used exclusively by DV. There are no buildings to claim, as these regions remain undiscovered until now.
  • Stronger creatures with new types of items or increased chances to obtain rewards quickly, emphasizing the risk-reward dynamic.
  • Collectibles:
    • In these maps, players can loot fragments (items) to "assemble" an artifact that, once completed, provides small temporary buffs.
    • Players may also find other mysterious items scattered throughout the map, which can be sold or studied to uncover their uses.
  • Occasionally, reward boxes will appear on the map. These can be claimed as long as no other player stands in your way.
Enhanced PvP: PvP in these zones is more intense:
  • Players lose more DDs.
  • All players are considered outlaws (except your clan members).
  • Respawn times are slower.
  • Additionally, players lose some fame points.
Unique PvE/PvP Events: The highlight of these maps is the unique zones or events, which offer a variety of rewards. Some examples include:

  • Bandit Fortresses: A large bandit settlement will appear on the map. The clan must defeat as many enemies as possible, but if another clan shows up, they must fight each other. If neither clan wins, no one will receive rewards.
  • Big Boss: A World Boss will spawn in the center or a random location on the map. Players or clans dealing the highest damage to the boss will receive exclusive reward boxes.
  • Mining Building: Occasionally, mining buildings will appear in specific zones. Players must choose between protecting or raiding them. Both roles will be rewarded differently based on their involvement.
  • Clan Hunt: If a clan gathers a higher number of members on the same map, they become high-value targets. If a member of another clan defeats one of them, they will gain fame points.

*to prevent an alliance from dominating these events, a rule could be implemented requiring at least two clans to participate in an event. Alternatively, if four o more clans are involved, only one can receive the reward, provided they defeat the others.

Aaaaand those are some ideas.

In general, The Outlands is a new way to create more dynamic and gameplay-rich maps. Instead of simply designing linear maps with extra levels, this idea is specifically aimed at players seeking an experience beyond level 55. The concept focuses on delivering PvP/PvE action centered around clans, with more rewarding prizes but also a greater level of danger.

What do you think?

Interesting but I believe Tundra map is progressive because this biome is found on top snowy mountains and it fits the theme after maujak
It would be nice if they make this biomes nature as (foggy or mist) -> this phenomenon is only seen in one part of lvl 55 area in maujak in a hill but if that can be applied to full map, it would be cool.
