Although the game focuses on dinosaurs

We have smilodons, entelodonts and brontopses in game, which are not dinos, I'm sure mamoths would fit very well

I see that the devs liked the idea... hmmm.

If they plan to add the mammoth as a mount in the future, it should be added in the lily emporium to vary the mounts and not just the Rex should be the ultimate goal. The mammoth is pretty much the "rex" of the Cenozoic.
