LVL5 emeralds

Today i noticed that level 5 emeralds are freaking rare because i killed like a 100 mobs who drop it and i didnt get a single one whats up with that if someone has an idea how to get them please write your ideas.

Yeah sometimes you can go for a long time without getting any emeralds, and then suddenly you get three or four consecutively. They're not extremely rare, just keep up a killing spree and you'll get what you need eventually. I believe the only way you can avoid using emeralds (or any of those stones) is by paying with real money and buying whatever you need with gold.
