I have an issue trying to start the game.

So whenever I launch it with ssg, It loads the game data and all that and then it starts loading the actual game for like 5 seconds then it crashes immediately. I've tried this like 10 times (not exaggerating) and it just never wants to work. I've been wanting to play this game for YEARS but it lets me down so what do I do to fix this? if there's a way?
