I've talked to many players about this issue, we all have different opinions, but what we agree on is that the percentage of buildings opened based on activity should be increased, meaning more buildings should be opened, the buff should definitely be removed, and in close combat, weapons should fire again with 30% less damage than normal.

I agree the buff should be removed 100% but weapons firing in close will be kind of broken especially with weapons like SS
and HAMMER the game is pretty well balanced right now apart from hit and run dino's because of the ATTACKER/DEFENDER buff forcing these dinos to close combat rex players which they roar you out and you wont be able to take the BUFF and some players abuse this mechanic by roaring you out at the last sec the buffs run out making you useless. this buff should be reworked to make buff to stay at constant 30 sec when inside the gate and the player outside the gate whos firing at the player inside the gate should also get the buff and stay at constant without getting close to these dino's so both of the players get the buff and stay at a constant 30 sec when the dino inside the circle leaves then both dino's will start to lose the buff at the same time. if they enter back then the buff should be back to 30 sec and stay at the constant 30 sec

OR just remove the buff completely removing the hustle of reworking on it

NOTE: this is just my opinion
