On the chance this is a real question and also to help any new players who really don't know, I'll answer. The amount of fame you need to win any election is 1 more than everyone else in the same election. You get elected by having the most fame at the time the election ends. You get fame by selling gold and medals. You get gold and medals from holding claims and spawns.

You also get a daily fame bonus for logging in which is pretty lame since you also have a daily fame loss. I think you can still get fame in the daily free boxes and from completing certain achievements but it's been a while since I paid attention to my fame amounts.

You can join the election as long as 24 hours remain. When it is at less than 24 hours it is locked. Elections are longer than 24 hours. Higher elections take longer than lower elections.

Splintersaurus, I forgot to say, you don't have to be online when the election ends. Just find one you think you can win that has more than 24 hours left. Join it and go about your business of playing or whatever. At the end of the election you will get a notification. If you don't win try again.
