Hello rangers, this message is directed straight to the creators of the game.
I have compiled a list of the things we discussed in the latest post regarding the lack of attention being given to Dino Storm’s loyal players, along with some additional ideas
After reading the entire discussion in the previous thread and seeing how many people share the same concerns, I think it’s important to open a separate topic to collect and summarize everything the community has been asking for.
A lot of us feel that Dino Storm has slowly lost systems and features that once made the game more alive, engaging, and rewarding. Many of the suggestions below are not new ideas, but things that already existed in the past and were removed over time.
Because of that, restoring some of these systems should not be extremely costly or complex, and could be a good starting point to rebuild player interest and activity.
Here is a summarized list of what players have been asking for:
Right now, progression feels limited and much less rewarding. Restoring the old evolution system (or something very close to it) would immediately improve player engagement.
2. Restore older maps or map versions
Many players miss the older map layouts and designs.
Those maps felt:
Re-introducing classic maps (even partially or as rotating zones) would bring back nostalgia and variety without needing to design everything from scratch.
3. Show online player count on each server
This is something I just thought about while playing... Maybe a list of players online would encourage us to be online doing our stuff knowing there are more people around.
This would:
Seeing activity matters a lot for an MMO.
4. Focus on restoring removed systems before adding new ones
Many players feel that instead of adding new mechanics, the game should first:
This would be a low-risk, high-impact approach and a clear sign that community feedback is being taken seriously.
5. General feeling: the game needs its “soul” back
What most players are really asking for is not just balance changes, but:
Restoring older systems is one of the fastest ways to achieve this.
6. Implement a day and night cycle
A feature that many MMOs already have and that would greatly improve immersion.
A day and night cycle would:
This doesn’t need to be overly complex at first. Even a basic cycle would already be a big improvement and help Dino Storm feel less static and more like a living world<<<<<<
Final thoughts
I’ve been talking about this with players from AME_2, and we all agree on the same points. We’re hoping for responses, along with many players from other servers.
If the team wants to start improving the situation, bringing back old systems is the most logical first step.
They already existed, players loved them, and they gave the game depth.
Starting there would show goodwill, respect for the community, and a real intention to revive Dino Storm instead of letting it slowly fade.
Many of us genuinely want this game to succeed again,
because of that, if anyone wants to add more feedback, please do!
Kind regards,

The old evolutions gave players:

This is by far one of the most requested changes.
The old evolutions gave players:
- Long-term goals
- A real sense of progression
- Motivation to keep playing and improving their dinosaurs

2. Restore older maps or map versions

Many players miss the older map layouts and designs.
Those maps felt:
- More immersive
- More memorable
- More “Dino Storm” than the current versions
Re-introducing classic maps (even partially or as rotating zones) would bring back nostalgia and variety without needing to design everything from scratch.
3. Show online player count on each server

This is something I just thought about while playing... Maybe a list of players online would encourage us to be online doing our stuff knowing there are more people around.
- Display the number of players currently online per server
- Visible somewhere in the UI (login screen, server selection, or HUD)
This would:
- Make the game feel more alive
- Help players choose active servers
- Increase confidence that the game is still populated
Seeing activity matters a lot for an MMO.
4. Focus on restoring removed systems before adding new ones
Many players feel that instead of adding new mechanics, the game should first:
- Restore systems that already worked well in the past
- Fix what was removed and never properly replaced
This would be a low-risk, high-impact approach and a clear sign that community feedback is being taken seriously.
5. General feeling: the game needs its “soul” back
What most players are really asking for is not just balance changes, but:

Restoring older systems is one of the fastest ways to achieve this.

- Add visual variety to maps
