The same thing happened to me during this Black Friday Event. I still haven't got back a response from the support team. I submitted a ticket.

For me it was the Pachycephalosaurs for 4K+ (not exactly sure) Now I have a lvl 25 Pachy and a lvl 24 Carno. I was keeping that GC for other items.

Well it happened to me once and I ended up buying a skin worth 700+ gold. Support told me they can't refund gold for such incidents unless it happened coz of a server crash down etc

700 is a reasonable amount I can deal with. But 4K isn't. Its too big of a loss that I can't handle. Lvl 24 close to lvl 25 unlocking a lvl 25 Pachy. Especially when I clicked on show offers, clicked away to speak in clan chat and suddenly I have pop up saying equip the now or not now. I am okay with the GMs getting rid of the lvl 25 Pachy from my inv and refunding me the gold I spent.
